FASHION KILLS

Fashion Kills depicts a fashion crime scene in the cutthroat fashion world. This new story will have a cinematic, film-like quality to it. The visual style will draw heavily on this “Retro 1980s Americana” aesthetic with bold colors and nostalgic fashion to create a timeless mood. Inspired by the films, The Conversation by Francis Ford Coppola and Blow Up by Michelangelo Antonioni, this project will explore those themes of voyeurism and miscommunication. The narrative will constantly shift throughout the story, leaving the audience questioning what’s real, who’s involved, and what’s being hidden.

"Fashions Kills" was displayed at the Fashion Institute of Technology from May 13–25, 2025, as part of the senior exhibition "A Little Bit Closer."
